I was torn with this book. Whitley had been held against her will for years with little hope of being rescued. That hope came in the form of Free and his MC brothers. At one glance, Free knew Whitley was the woman for him. Still plagued by the past but needing a new future, Free claims Whitley. This is where I was a little lost. After being held for so long, Whitley seemed to have no problem adjusting to her role in Free’s life or his bed. I could not get passed the part that she was ready for sex after only knowing him a few days. I would have liked to seen her finding her voice more and exploring her relationship to the club. Otherwise, this was a good story with Free and Whitley’s tragic past and their chance at happiness together. This may not be my favorite addition to the series but I did enjoy it and look forward to hopefully more storytelling with this MC.

I was born and raised in California. My husband and I met when I was just 16. We were married a few years later, moving to Oregon while he was in the US Coast Guard.

Texas is now where we call home, where our boots rest, and where we’re raising our two little boys and a chocolate lab named Optimus Prime.
